Graphic artist, illustrator and lecturer based in Barcelona.
Working between figuration and abstraction, her practice explores intangible aspects of what shapes us: memory, emotions, vulnerability, the transitions of identity, and our connection to nature and territory. It is grounded in an attentive view of fragility and places care for life, cracks, resilience, affect, and forms of collective life at its centre, particularly from the experience of women.
She understands the creative process as an intuitive and embodied practice, in which drawing becomes a form of thinking, a gesture capable of articulating meaning before it can be rationalised.
She combines analogue and digital processes, with a particular interest in the material and handcrafted dimension of the image. She investigates the inherent rhythms of materials and processes as a form of poetic resistance, and works with printmaking techniques such as etching, screen printing and risograph. This research also unfolds through artist’s books, self-publishing and illustration.
Born in Valencia, she grew up between Valencia and Aragón and has been based in Barcelona since 2011. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València, and studied printmaking at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino and KAUS, in Italy, followed by illustration at Escola Massana. She is currently studying art therapy at Metàfora.
Her work has received the Junceda Award for Emerging Creators (2019), the Eva Toldrà First Prize in the General Category (2018), the Arts Byblio Second Prize at the Arts Libris fair for her self-published artist’s book wē (2018), and was selected for the Ibero-American Illustration Catalogue (2018). She has participated in exhibitions and self-publishing fairs in Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao, Bologna, Lisbon and Vienna. Alongside her artistic practice, she teaches in public and private institutions.
